Southern Gulf Islands

Sailings between Vancouver (Tsawwassen) – Southern Gulf Islands are fully bookable so booking in advance is highly recommended.  Fares are paid in full at the time of booking. Cancellation and no show fees apply based on the terms and conditions of your booking.

 

North Coast routes

Sailings between on our North Coast routes are fully bookable so booking in advance is highly recommended. The fare is paid in full at the time of booking. Cancellation and no show fees apply based on the terms and conditions of your booking.

If you change or cancel your vehicle booking within 30 days of your scheduled departure date, a $60 service fee will be applied ($30 for Haida Gwaii service). Change fees apply to the following North Coast and Central Coast routes:

Travel on Southern Gulf Islands routes

A non-refundable $5 change fee is applied each time you make a change to your booking's date, time or sailing. Bookings can be changed up to one hour prior to travel* from the original port of departure.

 

To edit a booking online

 

• Set up a BC Ferries account online to easily create and change bookings. Any bookings made online (as a guest or logged in account customer) can be adjusted using the edit your booking(s) link found in your booking confirmation email.
• If you made a booking as a guest, through the Customer Service Centre, you will need to contact the Customer Service Centre to change your sailing. If you have an account, you can log in to make any changes. If you booked without an account and want to edit or cancel your booking use the link in your original booking confirmation email.

South Coast routes

Travel on Southern Gulf Islands routes

• If you cancel more than seven days before travel, there is no cancellation fee.
• If you cancel a booking from Southern Gulf Islands to Tsawwassen within seven days of travel, a $15 cancellation fee will be applied to the form of payment used at the time of booking.
• If you cancel a booking from Tsawwassen to Southern Gulf Islands within seven days of travel, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied to the form of payment used at the time of booking.

  
 

Central and North Coast routes

• If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before your scheduled departure date, you will receive a full refund.
• If you change or cancel your vehicle booking within 30 days of your scheduled departure date, a $60 cancellation fee will apply ($30 for Haida Gwaii routes)
• Cancellation fees apply to all North Coast and Central Coast routes, including:

Private vehicle bookings are non-refundable if not redeemed or cancelled within the cancellation window stated in the Terms and Conditions in your cancellation email.

Commercial vehicle bookings cancelled less than five days before your scheduled departure date will have a $200 cancellation fee applied.

Note: No-show fees will apply to unredeemed bookings. For unredeemed Saver fare bookings, a $30 no-show fee will apply. For unredeemed Prepaid fare bookings, a $20 no-show fee will apply.

If a bus or foot passenger group changes the booked sailing time within five days of the scheduled departure, a $25 service fee will be applied.

You can purchase a short-cut ticket for travel between Brentwood Bay – Mill Bay:

• or purchase ticket books from staff on board the ferry servicing this route 

Ticket books for travel between Sunshine Coast (Langdale) – Gambier Island (New Brighton) – Keats Island (Keats Landing) can be purchased at:

• Horseshoe Bay terminal foot passenger ticket booth and customer service office
• Langdale terminal administration office, weekdays 6 am – 8 pm and weekends 7 am – 8 pm
• At Passages on board select ferries servicing this route

A receipt will be issued for all sales. If a receipt is not issued, call 1-888-BC FERRY (1-888-223-3779, Canada & USA only) and an agent will forward your request to our Revenue Department for follow up.
