If you’re travelling as a foot passenger, this could include taxi service, public transit, or being dropped off at the terminal.

Notice of Night Work
Langdale Terminal - Berth 1
September 16 - 26, 2025
Overnight maintenance will be taking place at Langdale terminal to support safe and reliable service. This work is scheduled outside of regular sailing hours to minimize impact to customers.
Upper Ramp Apron Fingers Replacement
Dates: September 16 - 18, 2025
Hours: 12:30 am – 5:30 am
This essential work is not expected to impact scheduled service.
Walkway Painting
Dates: September 22 – 26, 2025
Hours: 10:30 pm to 5:30 am
For customers travelling on the last sailing of the day from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, single lane off-loading will take place from the lower vehicle deck to accommodate staged maintenance equipment. There will be no change for off-loading for foot passengers or vehicles on the upper vehicle deck.
While some moderate noise may be heard in the immediate area during this scheduled maintenance, every effort will be made to minimize disruption for nearby residents. We have received a noise bylaw exemption from the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) to carry out this work overnight.

Horseshoe Bay
Essential Infrastructure Program
Several projects related to the Horseshoe Bay Essential Infrastructure Program will soon be underway. While no sailing cancellations associated with this work are planned, vehicle and foot passengers may notice changes to traffic and
loading patterns. Please follow the direction of terminal personnel.
Long-term Parking Reduced – starting September 2, 2025
Parking availability in the surface lot adjacent to the Horseshoe Bay terminal building has been reduced due to construction.
Additional parking is available at:
- BC Ferries parkade south of the terminal (entrance on the left after entering the village).
- Lion’s Mark parking lot, located across the street.
If you are picking up passengers, please note the drop-off area has a maximum wait time of 3 minutes.
Geotechnical Drilling — September 9 to 19, 2025
As part of terminal improvement planning, drilling of small test holes will take place in both the marine and upland areas to help us better understand site conditions. While some moderate noise may be heard in the immediate vicinity, every effort will be made to minimize disruption for nearby residents.
We will provide updates through Service Notices should there be any impact to operations.
