ALT Card Refund or Extension Request

Assured Loading Cards will no longer be accepted for travel from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay (one direction only), as of October 15, 2025. 

Advance booking and payment will be required for all vehicles travelling from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay, as of October 15, 2025, due to a 25% reduction in available vehicle space at the Horseshoe Bay terminal during a multi-year infrastructure program to upgrade the terminal.

Assured Loading Tickets (ALTs) will continue to be accepted:

  • Either direction: Tsawwassen – Victoria
  • Either direction: Tsawwassen – Duke Point
  • One-way only: Departure Bay – Horseshoe Bay
If you are unable to travel on an alternate route between the mainland and Vancouver Island and believe you will not use your remaining ALTs, you have two options:
  • Request a Refund
    • Complete the form below by October 15, 2025 to receive a refund for the unused, unexpired portion of your card.
    • Refunds are not available for expired or auto withdrawn tickets.
  • Request an Extension
    • If your tickets expire between August 7 and October 15, 2025, you may request a one-time six-month extension.
    • Submit extension requests by October 15, 2025.
